Rental Cars, Self-Hire and Taxis

Once you are in Jamaica there are a number of ways to get around. You can rent a car in Kingston, Ocho Rios or Montego Bay through international rental agencies.  We are also happy to have a rental car brought to you at Green Castle for a small drop off fee of $35 US.

Driving in Jamaica is not for the inexperienced. Jamaica is left lane driving like the UK, and has a unique set of rules that can be challenging to master during a short visit. If driving sounds difficult, you can leave it to an expert and hire a taxi with a driver.  Prices for daily taxi rental with a driver vary based on distance and time, but generally a full day of travel will cost USUS$120 to $200, and the drivers are friendly and informal guides as well.
