We are so grateful to Shereen of Mockingbird Hill for recommending this place!  Wonderful food, Miss Elaine and Mr. Padgett were generous with their accommodation and what an  extraordinary estate!!!  endless paths of beauty to explore, but sitting out on the veranda looking at the birds, the patterns of greens and orange and red and the blue of the far-off coast just magnificent!  Miss Stacy's juices were a special treat!!!

This was the type of a weeks vacation I was hoping for when I found Green Castle on the internet.  Relaxing, great birding, real Jamaican food, lovely people and beautiful surroundings.  The refreshing pool, comfortable bed, great care from Miss G and Stacy, Chris and Elaine was wonderful.

We stayed here a week and had a wonderful time.  Good birding.  We walked all the trails and loved it.  Saw the potoo and that was awesome!!! Many thanks to Elaine and all the staff for great service.

We have so enjoyed our stay within the arms of Green Castle.  This is our 10th visit to Jamaica but our first to St. Mary.  We have loved the grand views from the great house.  We have loved the hand made Jamaican food at every meal.  We have enjoyed our journeys to Sunrise Lawn, Port Antonio and Ochi but our best experience has been with the staff at Green Castle.....Miss G (must mean General) in the kitchen, Roberta and Tanya.

We have had a wonderful stay here! Lovely to experience the "old feel" Jamaica.  The stay was made even more enjoyable thanks to the hospitality of all the ladies and gentlemen of the house.  Thank you Miss G for your lovely cooking and to all the other ladies of the house for their constant smiles and helpfulness in teaching us and showing us the real Jamaica.  I would recommend that you get Elaine to show you the local school.  It is self-evident what is needed.

Our first time here in Jamaica.  It is beautiful, lush and tropical.  Pauline is an absolute treasure. She is so friendly and thoughtful and she is an amazing cook.  We especially enjoyed the ackee and saltfish!
